About Seon
What Seon is
Seon (선, the Korean word for Zen) is a guide to visiting Korean temples for international travelers. It currently covers opening hours, admission, public-transit directions, a Korean taxi card and etiquette for 25 temples, in English and Korean.
Seon is independent. It is not run by or affiliated with any temple, Buddhist order or the official templestay operator.
Who runs it
Seon is run by one person (the Seon operator). AI agents help research and cross-check sources, and the operator approves what is published. Our page How we check information explains the process.
How we check information →How Seon is funded
Seon is free and has no advertising today. If that changes, this paragraph and the privacy policy will be updated first.
